The exact defination of cosplay is costumed roleplay. Cosplay is the art of dressing up as a character from a t.v. show, video game, movie, or book. Some people cosplay to try their hand at acting like a different person or they cosplay just for the fun of it. Depending on where you live there may be an anime convention. In Dallas, Texas there are two anime convetions: A-Fest (held during labor day weekend[4 days long]) and A-Kon (held during the first week of June[3 days long]). The pictures below were taken this past summer at A-kon 23. There are plenty of People who make their costumes from scratch while there are others who just go and spend money buying their enire costume and some people who buy half of their outfits and make the other half.
